I have hated renting cars because of the hassle of going to the counter, sometimes taking a shuttle to get the car which requires waiting for 30 minutes or so. Worse, do it again during the return! All that pain 2x!!! Auro made all that unnecessary. This is truly a hassle-free rental! The car was dropped off right on the port. Then when we returned our car, it was just on the airport parking lot. All within a minute walk. Everything was just so convenient! And their customer service is also 5-star! When I needed to extend, it was all done via WhatsApp communication. No drama, no calls, and responses were very very prompt. I was sooo pleased with their service, a couple of my brothers also rented. I highly recommended them!

We rented twice from Auro ICE prior to and towards the end of our cruise. This is a great company with super prices and best of all EASY pick up and drop off at the cruise airport and cruise port. I communicated via chat with them about parking and pick up. They respond very fast and very clearly!!! For our family of 6, the cost to rent for touring the last day of our cruise, park at the port then return to airport after our departure was so affordable!!!

I highly recommend Auro ICE Car Rental to anyone visiting Iceland! From the moment we arrived, we received exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, there were no cars available when we got there, but the wonderful lady at the office went above and beyond to help us. She made every effort to find us a vehicle, and in the end, we were even upgraded to a Nissan Qashqai SUV. The entire experience has been amazing. The car is perfect for exploring Iceland, and we are enjoying every moment of our trip. We had a great experience here with their Renault Master 5-person Campervan! We took a bit of a chance, as these guys are not nearly as well-known as other companies are in Iceland. However, it was definitely not a mistake for us. Whenever we had a question, they were able to answer or help point us to an answer. Booking was pretty easy. The website worked fine! They were fairly quick with correspondence with us ahead of the trip as well. They dropped the campervan, which we named "Sunny" (because it's enormous and bright yellow - you'll never confuse it for any other vehicle), off at the airport for us. One of their employees went over a few things about the van, including how to work around a small flaw with the pullout bar to convert the back seat to the bottom bed. They offered to fix it if we wanted to drive into Reykjavik, but we decided to just start heading east, as we were able to work around the issue with the instruction he provided to us. The campervan had about 150,000 km on it with a few little dings here and there - certainly not new but it was completely fine for us. The vehicle ran great! It handled everything the Icelandic roads could throw at us. The sheets/pillows/blankets provided were just fine and kept us plenty warm and comfortable at night. The Webasto heater also worked great for us! The beds (at least the bottom one) was fine - not the most comfortable but we were ok with that. The fridge was a little weird for us in the beginning but we just needed to get used to it over the course of the trip. They also provided plenty of dishes and cutlery, a butane burner, and an outdoor table and camping chairs as well. When returning the campervan, you have the option to return right to the airport and park in one of the lots, which is super convenient. Upon the return of the car, they even helped troubleshoot random charges that we were getting from one of the parking apps, which we were very thankful for. All in all, I would highly recommend Auro if you're hoping to still receive good service and save a few (hundred) bucks as well! Also, the big yellow camper should be only referred to as Sunny from here on.

Mixed feelings. After renting about seven cars from different companies in Iceland, I was happy with how easy and straightforward everything went here. They gave me a discount because I found cheaper options from other companies. However, after picking up the car, I was a bit disappointed. This was the oldest car I ever got (220,000 km). The rented cooling box wasn’t working, and the communication wasn‘t great then (no effort or refund). The same applies to the not working cruise control. Nevertheless, everything was again very trouble-free when we had a flat tire. Because of that and to support a small and simple company, I still give four stars, but likely won’t rent here again. Other companies were more reliable.

Fantastic experience! We happened to be there this past weekend and decided to do an impromptu Sunday Road trip. Came across Auro and we were so happy we did. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and had two adorable dogs to keep us company while the paperwork/checkout when through. Our RAV-4 was clean and well maintained - unlike other reviews I have seen on other companies we had zero concerns about the quality of the vehicle. Drop off was after hours but again very easy - just parked and dropped the keys. Cost was very reasonable - we did the full coverage and also got the wi-fi. Will absolutely be renting from them again the next time we are in Iceland - and highly recommend them to you as well.
