    They are HONEST w’ the BEST LOW PRICES on the island & will fit a car to YOUR NEEDS! They fetched me at my hostel & made sure I had ALL I NEEDED in the car before leaving on my 3 week adventure alone:
    Camp stove, gas, ALL cooking & kitchen supplies, 10L water jug,all bedding, fridge.
    Im sure if they had a DOG or CAT they would of lent him to me for companionship too😅

    In a country where car hire, like everything, can be eye wateringly expensive, Aurora delivers a pretty good product at a better price than most.
    The car is not new, and was missing any charging ports, but importantly for us they delivered the car to the cruise port and allowed us to drop it off at the airport - something we didn’t find anyone else offering.
    Pick up was contactless, the car and key are left for you, with very good instructions, and then you leave it in a car park.
    We didn’t experience any of the issues that seem to be common with other companies imposing fees for damage, and the provided wifi unit (at extra cost) worked superbly once we’d worked out how to turn it on.
    Our only complaint would be the lack of any port to charge a phone or run the Wifi unit, which could have been easily fixed with a lighter adapter.
    A good product and very good price for Iceland.

    I had a fantastic experience with Auro ICE Car Rental. The car itself worked very well, the price was unparalleled. We got a flat tire (which happens!). We were not to far away, so we went to the shop to replace - the staff were very helpful, and we enjoyed complementary coffee and little treats. It is a small family run place, very kind and trustworthy. 10/10 would recommend!

    Really exceeded our expectations - this was a delightfully convenient and affordable car rental option.

    We were on a cruise ship stopping in Reykjavik for the day. I booked a rental on their website the night before we arrived and they were able to deliver a car to the cruise terminal the next morning. (I would recommend booking at least a day in advance but I really appreciate that they were able to accommodate our last minute booking).

    The car was in great shape and worked well for our brief golden circle self-drive tour.

    When we returned the car, we were able to just leave it in the parking lot right next to the cruise ship - super convenient.

    Would rent again! Their main office is only ~10 min from the cruise terminal so if you’re super last minute you can just pick up from there as long as they have availability.

    Great communication before arrival with simple and clear instructions, handover after midnight without contact. In contact via WhatsApp for the entire 14 days, whenever we needed it, timely response, advice. Handover again at night without contact at the airport. Understanding of the car rental company regarding the late sending of photos regarding the full tank and parking location as part of the departure rush. Great satisfaction.
    Instead of Dacia Duster we got Suzuki Vitara model year 2017, 170.000 km. Perfectly clean. Only a few scratches on the outside and small stone chips on the windshield. We drove 3000km. The car was fully functional. Low consumption 6.7l/km. Satisfaction.

    Valid Driver's License:

    Make sure your driver's license is up-to-date and has not expired. This applies to all additional drivers too. Additionally, it's essential that the driver's license uses Latin characters.

    Payment Card:

    Ensure you have a valid debit or credit card, containing a 16-digit number for transactions. Confirm adequate funds are available on the card.

    Proof of Identity:

    A government-issued ID or passport is necessary. Verify the validity of this document and its compliance with the rental agency's requirements.

    The minimum car rental period is 24 hours.

    Included in the car rental price rate:

    • Unlimited mileage
    • 24% VAT tax
    • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
    • Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)
    • Gravel Protection (GP)
    • Theft Protection (TP)

    We do not require a deposit from our customers for car rentals. Upon arrival, we simply need to verify a valid credit card, and we will only retain an imprint of the card as a precaution. In cases where the renter does not possess a credit card, we do accept debit cards with a 16-digit number.

    Renting a car without a credit card may pose challenges, but it's entirely feasible! Our team is readily available to address all your inquiries either upon arrival, via phone, or through email. Additionally, you can engage in prompt communication through the live chat feature on our website.

    Auro ICE car rental Iceland stands out with zero deposit requirements, free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, and 24/7 roadside assistance. Our diverse fleet includes SUVs, 4x4s, city cars, vans, and campers - all with full insurance (CDW, PAI, SADW) included. We offer complimentary airport pickup and drop-off service, ensuring a seamless start and end to your Icelandic adventure.

    If the "Rental Cost Non Refundable" Cost option is chosen during payment, the following insurance options are applicable to all vehicles:

    CDW (Standard Comprehensive Insurance)

    Deductible fee: 800 euros.

    PAI (Personal Accident Insurance)

    Provides coverage for driver and passenger accidents. It compensates for accidents caused by the driver and/or passengers.

    SADW (Sand and Ash Damage Waiver)

    An optional fee that shields the lessee from expenses arising from sand or ash damage. No other fee, insurance, or coverage compensates for such costs. This fee may be added independently and does not combine with any other fee, coverage, or insurance.

    If you opt for "Full Damage Cost Refundable" when renting a car, it encompasses all the aforementioned insurances along with:

    SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver)

    This optional insurance minimizes the renter's liability. By selecting this insurance, the liability is reduced to zero, meaning no deductible fee is necessary. The insurance comprehensively covers any damages.

    If roadside assistance is required due to breakdown, accident, damage or other reasons for which the driver/renter is responsible, Auro ICE Car Rental will charge the renter for the assistance. The fee for such assistance and/or the pick-up fee when picking up a rental car can typically range from ISK 35,000 to ISK 450,000 depending on the location and nature of the assistance required. This fee is in addition to any damage sustained by the rental car itself. Of course, this fee does not apply if the assistance is related to breakdown, accident, damage or other reasons for which Auro ICE Car Rental is responsible. In such cases, the vehicle will be replaced immediately.

    Paying by credit card is the preferred method for booking your car rental online. We accept the following credit cards:

    Debit card payments are also accepted if they have online payment capability.

    Upon vehicle pickup, the renter or accompanying individual must present a credit card. While we typically require a credit card, if you only have a debit card, we accept those with 16 digits on the front.

    In exceptional circumstances where a credit card is unavailable, please contact us via email, mail, phone, or through the website's live chat feature.

    Renter must be 20 years of age to rent a 2WD car or a medium sized 4WD/AWD.

    To rent our larger 4WD, SUV´s or Luxury models the renter must be 23 years of age.
